Videogen
A personal automation tool that produces short historical documentary videos and publishes them to its operator's own YouTube and Instagram accounts.
What it does
Videogen is a private, single-operator application. It runs unattended on the operator's own server, generates video content, and — with the operator's explicit authorization — uploads that content to the operator's own social accounts and reads back basic performance statistics.
Produces video
Generates narrated historical documentary videos and short vertical clips.
Publishes to the operator's channels
Uses the YouTube Data API and Instagram API to upload finished videos to the operator's own accounts, on a fixed schedule.
Reads its own analytics
Reads view counts and basic stats for the videos it published, to inform future content — nothing more.
Who can use it
Videogen is not a public product. There is no sign-up and no hosted service. It is operated by a single person for their own channels. The Google and Meta authorizations it requests apply only to accounts the operator personally owns and connects.
